Fairfield County OVI Checkpoint Tonight

LANCASTER, Ohio – The Ohio State Highway Patrol announced  the location of Friday night’s OVI checkpoint.

It will be held from 8:00 p.m. through 12:00 a.m. on East Main Street near Graceland Drive in Lancaster.

Troopers from the Lancaster Post along with Lancaster Police Department and the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting the checkpoint.

The OVI checkpoint, funded by federal grant funds, is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers.

The checkpoint will also be held in conjunction with nearby saturation patrols to aggressively combat impaired driver-related injury and fatal crashes.

If you plan to consume alcohol, designate a driver or make other travel arrangements before you drink.
