ZANESVILLE, Ohio-With the autumn season fully upon the area local farmers market can expect to see fruits from the autumnal harvest.
One vendor at the Blue Ribbon Farmers Market is bringing their harvest as well as some baked goods. Vendor Sharon Bauer tells us about her personal market.
“We got beautiful broccoli this time of year cause it’s cool and the bugs aren’t on it. Lot of baked goods, because bazaars are all cancelled locally so selling a lot of baked goods and homemade peanut brittle. Got some different varieties on our jams, got spiced caramel pear which is very popular. Got some cabbage, some beets, the cool weather produce that’s out right now.”
Bauer is a long time vendor at the farmers market and she sang its praises.
“I like the location cause it’s central, it’s not too far for people to come to the fairgrounds. It’s just a nice family atmosphere here, it’s not rushed, it’s laid back which makes it nice.”
Bauer will be at the market for two more Saturdays.
