Fanatics Looking to Fill 1,000 Seasonal Job Positions

Fanatics is looking for 1,000 seasonal employees.

The company sells officially licensed sports apparel. We spoke to Mike Jacoby, Executive Director of the Zanesville Muskingum County Port Authority, and he told us it is growing incredibly quickly and is needed to prepare for the busy holiday season. Jacoby told us a little bit more about the jobs that will be available.

"You’re basically fulfilling orders online. E-commerce orders so you’re basically packing, sweatshirts or ballcaps or bobbleheads. Things like that and then those are shipped out to FedEx, and UPS and shipped all over the country. "

On Monday, November 24th from 10 A.M. to 3 P.M. at the Advanced Science Center at Zane state, a job fair will be held to fill some of these positions. Officials will be present to help with the application process. Jacoby explained the jobs also come with some perks.

"There’ll be a $25 gas card their first day on the job. Then with their first paycheck, there’ll be another $25 gas card. There’s a $100 sign on bonus for someone who’s worked 120 hours. There’s a shift differential, so if you’re working second shift or a weekend shift, you earn a dollar more an hour. Normally its $9.75 an hour so those folks with the extra money would be $10.75 an hour."

In order to take part in Monday’s job fair, all you have to do is bring an unexpired picture ID and social security card. You can also bring a passport or birth certificate in place.
