Fatal accident in Perry County

HARRISON TWP., Ohio–The Lancaster Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a one vehicle fatal crash which occurred on Old Rainer Road west of State Route 93.

Authorities said around 3:12 a.m. Thursday, Aaron D. Aliff of Rushville, was traveling eastbound in a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse when he lost control of the vehicle, drove off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.

Authorities said Aliff  died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene by Dr. Brian Varney.

Authorities said Aliff was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash which remains under investigation at this time.
