The Fieldhouse Family Fitness Center celebrated 29 years in business

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Fieldhouse Family Fitness Center celebrated 29 years in business.

Owner and co-founder Mick Amicone reflects on being in business for nearly three decades.

“It seems like yesterday when we first started with a random concept an idea of family, faith, fun, and fitness,” Amicone said. “We’ve built over the last 3 decades on those 4 ideas. Praise God it worked. The new generation is already started, (it’s) two fold. The new generation of participants 6 year olds that were here almost 30 years ago. They are now bringing their 6 year olds, because they had a good experience.”

Amicone said the next generation will include the passing of the torch to his daughter Alaina Durfee.

“We’re just excited to look to the next 30 years to see what those generations bring to the business,” Amicone said.

Mick will be spending most of his time consulting and his wife, Harriet will continue to work with The Fieldhouse Foundation.
