Fieldhouse Foundation To Hold Cancer Benefit
The Fieldhouse Foundation is holding an event this weekend to help raise funds for a local man.
Chad Foster and his daughter Alyssa were both diagnosed with leukemia and the Fieldhouse is asking the community to come out and support. We had the chance to talk with CEO of the Fieldhouse, Mick Amicone, who told us they will be helping to raise funds in a few different ways.
“We’re excited to have them here as apart of the Fieldhouse and opening up our entire facility for a day of activities, auction, kids games, spaghetti dinner and a whole day of entertainment for the family. ”
The spaghetti dinner will cost $8 for an adult and $4 for children 12 and under. Amicone hopes to have 1,000 people attend. Amicone told us all of the money raised goes straight back to Chad Fosters expenses.
“100% of all the proceeds from the silent auction, from the live auction, from any typical donations that come in, are going to go to the foster family to help them with obvious expenses. Not just for medical expenses but just a significant amount of travel expenses, lodging expenses, back and forth to the James for a number of medical visits.”
The event will be held at the Fieldhouse in the Century National Bank Family Center and in the main arena. The event will take place this Saturday, May 2 and will run from 4PM to 8PM. You are invited to come out an contribute to the cause.
