Fired Z-ville School Bus Driver Fined

A former Zanesville City Schools Bus driver appeared in Municipal Court  Tuesday in connection with a near collision between her bus and a train.

She was cited with one count of driving across a grade crossing.

Judge William Joseph fined 41-year-old Christina Wisecarver of Zanesville $100  which the court says Wisecarver paid.

Zanesville Police Detective Ric Roush says on February 16th around 4:00 in the afternoon police received a report of a near collision between a school bus and a train at the rail crossing near the intersection of Woodlawn Avenue and Pershing Road.

Zanesville City School officials fired Wisecarver as a result of the incident.

There were five students on the bus at the time of the incident but no injuries were reported.
