Fireworks Family Lighting up the Sky Once Again

The Vincent family is at it again and this show is the biggest in Zanesville to date. This clan has been setting off fireworks for more than 20 years and they truly make it a family affair

"Of six of the Vincents, four of them are licensed pyrotechnician or assistants and the other two help out a lot, they help with clean up and setting up and so fourth they just don’t go out and shoot," said Pyrotechnician of Record Steve Vincent.

The family spends hours preparing the pyrotechnic show

"We’ll spend the next three hours here, however many of us there are here, loading.You got to put each one in, you have to make sure it hits the bottom," said Vincent.

And the night setting them off

"It’s not for everybody being this close to this much fire power can be very very intimidating," said Vincent. "We’re going to light it live. We fire live, cause’ that’s where the adrenaline rush is."

This year the family set off 2,000 fireworks and each one lit up the sky over the Muskingum River July 4.
