First Steps of Kidzville Rebuild now underway

ZANESVILLE, OH- The building of Zanesville’s favorite kids park is now underway.
Members of the National Guard in Zanesville donated their time Wednesday to take the first steps in rebuilding Kidzville in what the Assistant Fire Chief, Doug Hobson, called the “Stakeout”.
“This is the phase we call the stakeout, the entire playground has been surveyed we know where the fence is going all the pieces of equipment. Well in order to put all that equipment up were going to need holes in the ground. So the National Guard from right here in Zanesville the 220th EIS has come and volunteered their time and they are digging all 240 holes for us.”
Hobson says they are happy with where they are right now but encourages anyone still wanting to donate their time or tools to not hesitate.
“Please don’t hesitate we still are looking at Thursday and Friday. The 12:30 to 5 shift is still very light and the 5:30 to dark is light so those three days along with the tools that are out on Facebook you can tell the tools that we are still light on.”
