First Ward Fights Crime
A victim of crime is doing his part to keep streets in the City of Zanesville safe and encourage others to do the same.
Don Carle is Ward One Coordinator for Zanesville Crime Stoppers.
“I myself several years ago had had things stolen from my home,” explained Carle. “Because of that loss I felt the need to get involved to prevent things like that between everyone here in Zanesville.”
Saturday Carle and other members of the crime stoppers canvassed the First Ward to bring people into their crime fighting network.
“One thing the citizens of Zanesville should know is that it’s going to come down to them personally when it comes to stopping a crime,” explained Carle. “It’s going to have to come at the level where they see it and can do something about it.”
When citizens report a crime to the network it remains anonymous.
Next Saturday August 8 members will be in the Third Ward at White’s Chevrolet to sign up Third Ward members and answer questions about the organization.
