Five People Questioned in Sharon Avenue Drug Bust

Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz said he executed a drug search warrant at a duplex at 1437-1439 Sharon Ave.

The Muskingum County Task Force along with agents from the Central Ohio Task Force were sent to the location. Lutz said five people have been questioned and that  U.S Currency along with Meth was recovered and is the predominant drug in the search. However, Lutz said that could change throughout the investigation.

“When we arrived we took five people into custody. I can tell you that three people of the five have been released and the other two are being interviewed. I do anticipate at least one of those folks staying in custody. Of course, throughout the interviews we may have some other interviews to do and other arrests could be in the future,” said Sheriff Matt Lutz.

The case is still under investigation, and charges are expected to be filed.
