ZANESVILLE, OHIO- Foodworks Alliance will be offering a free cooking class at the Muskingum County Business Incubator (MCBI) on November 12th from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Kids from ages 10 to 18 are eligible to attend, but are asked to be accompanied by their parents or guardian.

Carol Humphreys, Director at Foodworks Alliance, said that they ask if parents could attend so that they can learn how to prepare and cook meals with their kids together as a family.

“This is a great opportunity for them to work together in the kitchen,” said Humphreys.  “Folks will learn how to measure, how to read a recipe, how to shop for good products and cheap pricing, and they will learn how to prepare their very own meals.”

Humphreys also said that kids and parents will take home food that they made from the cooking class and that they will also be receiving a bag full of cooking essential items.

To register for the class, please call (740) 453-3649 ext. 2 as space is limited.
