Forever Dads Honors 2020 Recipients

ZANESVILLE, Ohio-The Forever Dads’ Tribute To Fatherhood was finally able to honor its 2020 Legacy of Fatherhood Class. 

The event was cancelled in 2020 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Staff at Forever Dad worked tirelessly to be able to hold a safe ceremony. 

“Well, originally we were well prepared and cancelled the event the morning of, when the CVODI pandemic began, as we were prepared with a meal. As the year progressed we wanted to make sure that we still honored them in a fitting manner, even though the original event had been cancelled.”, administrative Beth Blair said of the planning process.

This is the ninth Legacy class honored and many of the fathers were not able to have their families physically present. The men were very pleased to have their children attend virtually through Facebook Live and a livestream put on by WHIZ. 

“They were excited about the fact that they knew that their children would be a part of this even though distance may have separated them.”, executive director Burl Lemon said.

The five men honored were: Tom Barone, J. Leo Burkhart, Milman H. Linn, Jerry Jackson and Chuck Bell.
