Former Teacher Sentenced on Sexual Battery Charge

A former East Muskingum School teacher receives a two year sentence on charges of sexual battery and attempted sexual battery.

29-year-old Adam Cook appeared Monday before Muskingum County Common Pleas Court Judge Kelly Cottrill for sentencing.
 

Cook plead guilty last month to the charges and was classified a Tier 3 sex offender.
 

East Muskingum Local School District Superintendent Jill Johnson says Cook was accused of inappropriate interaction with a student.
 

She says Cook resigned on June 13th.
