Former ZHS Custodian Faces Life In Prison

A Zanesville man that was scheduled to go on trial for rape charges later this month instead entered a plea in court today. Assistant Muskingum County Prosecutor Ron Welch says 43-year-old Robert Davis Jr., a former Zanesville High School custodian, pleaded guilty in Muskingum County Common Please Court to two counts of rape and one count of gross sexual imposition. Davis is facing life in prison. Welch says the charges stem from multiple incidents involving children from 1997 to March of this year. Judge Mark Fleegle has ordered a pre-sentence investigation in the case.
