Frank O. Stephens (December 2, 1931 – April 23, 2011)

Frank O. Stephens, 79 of Zanesville, died Saturday April 23, 2011 at Good Samaritan Medical Center emergency room.

He was born December 2, 1931 in Cumberland, OH and was the son of the late Guy Owen and Mary Gibson Stephens.
Frank was a 1950 graduate of Cumberland High School and a retired coal miner where he last worked for Peabody Coal Co.
He enjoyed NASCAR, boating and camping. He loved his pet schnauzer, Samantha.

Surviving is his wife, Diane E. Wood Gabriel Stephens, who he married March 31, 2005; daughter, Diane Lynn (Mike) Ray of Senecaville; step-son, Bryan K. Gabriel, Orlando, FL; grandchildren: Jennifer and J.D. Gray & Michael & Tanya Ray; step-grandchildren: Jesse, Amanda and Katelyn Gabriel; great grandchildren: Taylor Duff, Jaelin Reed, Kylie Gray and Michael Ray; brother, James Stephens of Zanesville; sisters: Mary McIntire and Hazel Moore both of Cambridge, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters: Virginia Moore, Frances Faye Stephens, Ruth Moore, and Ardith Stephens.

Calling hours will be from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday April 26, 2011 at Bryan & Snider Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Ave. Funeral services will be at 11 am Wednesday April 27th at the funeral home with Rev. Roy Wood officiating. Entombment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
