Fraternal Order of Police hosts their Annual Senior Christmas Dinner

ZANESVILLE, OH- The Fraternal Order of Police held their Annual Senior Christmas Dinner at the Muskingum County Center for Seniors today.
The event brought in over 500 senior citizens to enjoy a nice meal, listen to live Christmas music courtesy of the Zanesville High School Choir, play games and to possibly go home winning a variety of different prizes.
“This is our Annual Senior Dinner, this will be our second year at this building doing it, we serve 500 seniors a nice meal, we have approximately 60 door prizes and poinsettias to give away, it’s a great time interacting with all of the seniors in our community, it’s definitely a good experience and event to help all of these people out,” says Phil Michel, President of the local Fraternal Order of Police.
The Fraternal Order of Police is a non-profit organization of law enforcement officers who strive to contribute and give back to the community in which they serve.
“Just seeing all the people out here, people you don’t normally see, and just the excitement it brings to them, they’re very thankful and happy for what we bring to them, and they get to enjoy and spend time with other people,” says Michel.
The Fraternal Order of Police plans to host their Senior Christmas Dinner again next year. For more information about the events going on, visit the Muskingum County Center for Seniors website.
