Frazeysburg Man Charged In Knox Co Fatal Shooting
A Muskingum County man has been charged in connection with a fatal shooting Friday. The Highway Patrol in collaboration with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and the Knox County Prosecutor charged 54-year-old Michael Collins of Frazeysburg with having weapons under disability as a result of the investigation of the shooting death of 35-year-old Lilly Dawn Pressely-Claggett of St Louisville and the wounding of Jessie Bernard Collins of Frazeysburg. Troopers say the incident stemmed from a domestic dispute. The Patrol says initial information revealed that Michael Collins, father of Jessie Collins and his daughter, Melissa Kramer, age unknown, were in a vehicle pursuing Claggett and Jesse Collins in their vehicle north on State Route 586 in Knox County, when gunfire was exchanged, killing Claggett and wounding Jesse Collins. Claggett’s vehicle drifted off the road and was found by first responders. Following the shooting Michael Collins and Kramer fled the scene. Collins is listed in critical condition at Ohio State University Medical Center. The Highway Patrol says the investigation continues and more charges may be filed.
