Frazeysburg Storm Update 7am

Frazeysburg, OH- The Village of Frazeysburg was preparing to celebrate their annual homecoming instead emergency crews are assessing damage from a possible tornado that struck around 1am.
The Muskingum County EMA Director Jeff Jadwin said that there were several local fire departments assisting in the operation as well as Community Ambulance, The State Highway Patrol, ODOT, AEP and the American Red Cross.
Jadwin said several people were transported to the hospital.
American Electric Power reports that local crews have been assessing damage with additional field personnel from other areas heading that way to provide restoration support.
They remind those in the area to stay as far away as possible from any downed lines and anything that may be touching those lines.
The Frazeysburg Police Department said that 3rd Street is now passable through the entirety of town, however they advise heading east toward the OH-16 highway ramps if possible to head west.
If anyone requires shelter or other temporary emergency service there is a Red Cross/EMA Shelter at the Frazeysburg Elementary.
They also report that the National Weather Service is likely to have a survey team in the area soon. They said it will help their efforts if you leave any non-critical debris where it is until it can be documented.
Homecoming activities in the village are cancelled for Thursday.
