Free Haircuts for Foxfire Students

Students at Foxfire School Monday received free haircuts to help them prepare for future job interviews.

Prince Fields and Cheyenne Matz donated their time to give fresh haircuts to the students, in hopes to help prepare them for the competitive job market. Todd Rock, a teacher at Foxfire, believes this was a great opportunity for the students Monday, especially since some of the students can not always afford to get a hair cut.

"We started at 8:00 A.M. this morning, and we are going to run this till 2:00 P.M. this afternoon. We have a list of students, we’ll have over 40 students it looks like that are going to get their hair done today" said Rock.

The students appreciated the opportunity that they were granted Monday afternoon.Student, Eric Henslee said he liked his long hair, but cut it to be more appealing in a job interview.

"So, we are going to job interviews and stuff so it’s a good thing to do. It cleans up your appearance" said Henslee.

Todd Rock encourages and local employers to contact him trock@laca.org, if they need employees. Foxfire helps with on job training and are willing to help throughout the entire process.
