Free Physicals For Student Athletes

Sports Medicine Zanesville sponsored a free clinic for high school athletes in the area. Students had their physicals completed for clearance to participate in sports this upcoming school year.

"We try to do things efficiently and move people through. We also have been able to have the teams come together, which, I think the athletic directors and coaches have hopefully appreciated and enjoyed," said Drew Layne of OAZ.

Athletes can have their physicals completed by a family doctor, but the clinic eliminates the hassle of making appointments.

"We’ve actually done this over the course of the past several years, and have had a wonderful response and certainly a lot of the kids and families are very appreciative that we’ve been able to do this. Just happy to be able to do this for everyone in the community."

Within the first two hours of the clinic, more than 100 student athletes received examinations.
