ZANESVILLE, Ohio- A local business is giving away free vitamins to children and pregnant women.
Shrivers Pharmacy and Muskingum Valley Health Center are partnering up to provide a month supply of vitamins for children ages 2 and up as well expecting mothers.
“Our main goal is to make sure that kids get free vitamins and that they are taking their vitamins. Everybody knows it’s hard to make sure their kids gets the amount of nutrients they need. The main thing is to make sure that children in the areas we service and pregnant mothers have access to children’s vitamins and prenatal vitamins,” said Shrivers Pharmacy Owner John Coler.
Coler said a 30 day supply of vitamins will be given to each child in a household.
“We have chewable vitamins. When the kid gets older we also have vitamins that you can shallow. So we have options. And the good thing is you’re going to have a pharmacist, that’s taking a look at those vitamins and also looking at the medications that patient’s on and making sure that there is no interactions,” said Coler.
The free vitamins are available in the stores and coupons for the vitamins are available at MVCH. All parents have to do is sign up once for the no strings attached program. After that they simply stop in at a Shrivers Pharmacy in either Zanesville, Nelsonville, New Lexington, McConnellsiville, or Crooksville.
