Friends of the Library Bookstore Set to Reopen After Renovations

ZANESVILLE, OH – The Friends of the Library Bookstore is getting ready for its grand reopening.
The Bookstore, located in the Carnegie wing of the John McIntire Library, underwent some renovations to make sorting through donations easier for volunteers. Sally Banfield, President of Friends of the Library, spoke about the renovations that were done.
“The bookstore was closed for about a month and a half because we needed to do a remodel,” Banfield said. “We needed more space in our tech room, which is a separate room from the bookstore, and we felt we needed to move that into where books are purchased.”
Joanne Brown, a Volunteer, said all of the funds the bookstore raise go back to the library to help out with programs like Summer Reading and Lunch and Learn.
To celebrate the reopening, the Bookstore will be opening with their normal hours starting tomorrow. Tomorrow’s hours are from 4 to 6PM, Wednesday’s are 11 to 1, and Saturday will be 10 to noon.
The Friends of the Library are always looking for volunteers to help sort books and get the store ready for the public.
