Friends of the Library Prepare for Annual Books and Brews Fundraiser

ZANESVILLE, OH – The Friends of the Library are gearing up for a night full of fun and trivia.

Their annual Books and Brews Trivia Fundraiser is set to take place at Weasel Boy Brewing Company on Wednesday, March 12th from 5:30 to 7:30PM.

Beverly Bell, the vice president of the Friends of the Library, said it’s $20 for a single person and $35 for a couple to attend.

She said not only does that get you a drink but also 2 books and 3 tickets to enter into a raffle for even more prizes.

“We have almost 18 different raffles to choose from.” Bell said. “It’ll be a trivia night, so there’s two trivia contests, and a lot of fun and frivolity. Hors d’Oeuvres provided by Weasle Boy and our fundraiser for this goes to programming for the Library.”

Bell said due to the current remodel of the John McIntire Library, they’ve had to also close the bookstore temporarily. She hopes this event not only raises funds for much needed programs at the Library but it’s also a fun time for the community.

“We have a lot of fun during the trivia night, we sit around the table and we kibitz, and we eat, and we nosh, and then we try and figure out the answers to the trivia questions,” Bell said. “Sometimes they’re not so easy, and it takes all the different brains to come together to come up with the answer.”

You must be 21 years or older to attend and registration is required for this event.

For more details and to register, you can head to the events page on the Library’s website.
