Gas leak contained in Pinkerton Road area

ZANESVILLE, Ohio–Emergency crews responded to the scene of a gas leak Wednesday afternoon in the Pinkerton Road area.

Muskingum County Emergency Management Agency Director Jeff Jadwin said around 2:30 p.m. a tree fell on a compressor station and damaged a line.

He said the Energy Cooperative owns the facility and responded quickly to the scene and were able to plug the line.

He said the emergency was over almost as quickly as it started.
