Genesis And Coshocton Memorial Sign Management Agreement
A five year agreement will help stabilize an over one hundred year old area hospital.
Genesis Healthcare and Coshocton County Memorial announced the deal at a press conference Wednesday morning. Under the terms Coshocton Memorial will remain independent. The move seeks to stabilize the hospital and help them gain access to 5 million dollars in credit as a buffer as the hospital reviews operations.
A firm that specializes in helping hospitals develop turnaround solutions is currently completing an analysis of the hospital and should have a complete report in 45 days.
Coshocton’s current CEO Bob Miller will remain in his position and be employed by the Genesis Management Company. Genesis’ Matt Perry will be assigned a seat on the Coshocton Hospital Board of Trustees.
Community members seeking to learn more can attend a meeting July 16 at 6pm in Coshocton Hospital’s Grand Central Station meeting room.
