Get your Grill: S. Zanesville Fire Departments 63rd Annual BBQ Chicken Dinner

ZANESVILLE, OH- The South Zanesville Fire Department is hosting their 63rd Annual BBQ Chicken Dinner at the fire station this Sunday.

The chicken dinner costs 10 dollars and will come with a half-grilled chicken, apple sauce, homemade coleslaw and a dinner roll. They also will have drinks and desserts available.

“We will have dinners even if it’s raining Sunday, chicken dinner will still go on, there is a slight chance of rain, but we will make sure that the chicken is cooked and is ready to go,” said Fire Chief Russell Taylor.

You can choose to either dine in or carry out. The Zanesville High School Boosters will be preparing the chicken. The dinners will start at 11 a.m. until they are sold out. Last year they sold out of 1200 chickens in 58 minutes.

“Just come out and support us, have a good time, sit down and eat, talk to a fireman, get to know us, that’s what we’re here for, and all this money raised on that day will go towards equipment and most of it will go towards the memorial we built for two fallen firefighters,” said Taylor.
