Gibson signs to play soccer with Marietta

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Bishop Rosecrans soccer standout Michael Gibson signed to continue his career at DIII Marietta College.

Gibson inked his name on his letter Friday in front of family and friends at the High School. He said he also considered going to Otterbein, Cincinnati, and Akron, but once he stepped onto the Pioneer’s campus he fell in love with the school.

Gibson started his high school career at Licking County Christian Academy before transferring to the Zanesville school and playing for the Bishops as a junior and senior. In two year’s with the Bishop, Gibson scored 15 goals and added 18 assists

Gibson said he plans to major in business and sports management.
