Good Luck Charlie! Meet This Weeks Dog of the Week

ZANESVILLE, OH – If you weren’t considering adding a cute dog to your family, all we can say here at WHIZ is “Good luck, Charlie!”

Meet Charlie, an adorable new arrival at the adoption center. He’s a one-year-old Great Pyrenees full of energy. According to Doug McQuaid, a volunteer at the K9 Adoption Center, “Charlie is kid and dog-friendly, loves affection, and enjoys going for walks. He would be a perfect pet for an active family.”

Charlie is known to keep a clean kennel and is already neutered, so he’s ready to find a loving home. If you’re interested in adding Charlie to your family, please contact the K9 Adoption Center to schedule a meet-and-greet. Additionally, the K9 Adoption Center is hosting a community event this weekend.

“This weekend, save the date! Our Storybook Christmas Gingerbread family fun is taking place Sunday December 8th from noon-5. It’ll be held at the Veterans Building Muskingum County Fairgrounds. We’ll have free hot drinks, free kids’ activities, you’ll be able to decorate a cookie, enjoy the bounce house, help decorate a large gingerbread house, and you even get to snap a picture with Santa,” said McQuaid. “This is not really where you bring a dog, this is where you just bring your children. It is a community event.”

At the event you can bid on silent auction items or bid in a chance auction to benefit the Muskingum County K9 Adoption Center. There will be on site adoptions available, hot food for purchase and $10 t-shirts for a nice holiday stocking stuffer.

For more information, please visit the Muskingum County K9 Adoption Center website.
