Goodwill Opens Furniture Store

Goodwill has expanded to offer more for their customers.

The Goodwill at Southpoint Shopping Center in South Zanesville has opened a furniture only store. The store was created to help serve the needs of the community. They offer new goods as well as donated items.

"We’ll always take our donations. The new items we buy those and assemble them putting more and more people to work which is truly our mission," said Kim Sands, employee at Goodwill.

Since the new store has opened more jobs have been created; people to transport the materials and assemblers to put the furniture together. Everything from beds to patio furniture is available. The low price is what brings the customers back.

"We’ve had a lot of people, a lot of customers in they look at our prices they think our prices are good they say they’ll come back. We’re a new business, everybody is used to going to the other stores for their furniture, it’s taken a little bit of time but I think it is catching on," said Vickie Frick, employee at Goodwill.

New shipment arrives every day. The store is planning on having a grand opening in a couple of weeks.
