Goodwill raising money for Cancer patient

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – A local store is raising money for an employee who’s battling ovarian cancer.

Goodwill located on Maple Avenue is having a Spring Fling sale, but not just that. According to Kelsey Croy who is a Lead at Goodwill, they’ll be providing a few ways to donate.

“It’s a benefit to help raise money for one of our employees that has cancer. It’s turning out to be a lengthier operation than what was expected,” Croy said. “So we just want to help her and her family with extra costs.”

Croy said they’ll provide a lunch consisted of a drink, hot dog, and a bag of chips. Goodwill will be raffling off three baskets and ‘America’s Got Talent’ performer Corey Hager will be performing.

“It was just something that we all just threw together and thought of,” Croy said. “We try to look out for each and every one of us. So we just want to help her and her family. I know she’s been a little depressed and everything.”

The Spring Fling will take place tomorrow March 18, 2017 from noon until 2:00 P.M.
