Grant Alan Hickman (November 16, 1996 – July 16, 2011)
Grant Alan Hickman, 14 of Zanesville, died 8:00 AM Saturday, July 16, 2011 following a sudden illness. He was born Saturday, November 16, 1996 in Zanesville, the son of Bret A. Hickman and Beth A.(Burkhart) Hickman and was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Grant was a 9th grade student at Zanesville High School where he was a member of the ZHS Football Team. He loved sports especially football and skateboarding.
In addition to his parents, Grant is survived by a very loving sister: Valerie of the home; maternal grandparents: Leo and Ann Burkhart; paternal grandfather: Lanny G. Hickman all of Zanesville; numerous aunts and uncles including: Deron Hickman of Colorado Springs, CO, Linda Burkhart, Mike (Cathy) Burkhart, Nancy (Joe) Nash, Pat (Becky) Burkhart, Anita (Greg) Nessline, Elaine (Joe) Pellatt, Jeanette (Dave) Weinberg, Kent (Wendy) Burkhart, Dean (Erin) Burkhart, Keith (Heather) Burkhart; one great aunt: Mary King of Trinway; one great uncle: Bill (Kity) Blosser of Newark and 25 loving cousins.
Grant was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother: Brenda Blosser Arrigan
Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at The Hillis & Hardwick Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 20 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Fr. Jordan Turano, OP as celebrant. Burial in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
