Gregory A. Hartley, age 75, of Roseville, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday August 5, 2025 surrounded by loved ones.

Greg was born on November 5, 1949, to the late Mike and Betty Hartley of Roseville. He graduated from Roseville High School in 1968 and on August 2, 1968, married his sweetheart, Patricia (Polen) Hartley. He began a 40 year career on the railroad in 1969 with B&O/Chessie System/CSX, retiring in 2009. Greg was a lover of the outdoors. He golfed with friends and family, fished with his grandkids, coached little league, and was an avid coon hunter and honorary member of the Perry County Coon Club. He loved his Walkers! He could build or fix just about anything, too. He was a devoted Buckeye fan. Greg was best known by all for his practical jokes and just being ornery. He loved his hunting buddies, family and his grandchildren the most and will be dearly missed.

Greg is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Patty; Three children Kelley (Hartley) Maddox, Todd Hartley, and Travis Hartley; Two brothers Mike (Karen) Hartley and Steven (Mandy) Hartley; a sister Beth (Larry) Kowalski; 13 grandchildren Zane Maddox, Emilie Maddox, Ely Maddox, Olivia Watts, Brandon Dailey, Bailey Saxton, Cole Hartley, Riley Hartley, Brinna Hartley, Brock Hartley, Anthony Emrick, Drew Hartley and Zack Hartley; 2 great-grandchildren Brayden Watts and Eliott Jay Rush. He also leaves behind many other very special family members and countless friends. Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday August 8, 2025 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday August 9, 2025. Pastor Marc Caton officiating. Burial will be in Fultonham Cemetery.
