Grief Counselors Help Dresden Elem. Students
A local school district is doing all it can to help the classmates of a child killed in a weekend accident. Dresden Elementary School Principal Linda Huston says six grief counselors were at the school today to help both students and teachers cope with the tragic death of six-year-old Michael Lightle. Huston says the counselors also met with staff to explain to them how to talk to the young students about the accident. Huston says the school is being very pro-active in dealing with the issue. She says she spent time with the Lightle family today and an assistant principal was at the scene of the accident Saturday offering support. Zanesville Police says the child was killed after running in front of a car on Geneva Drive around 3:30 in the afternoon. Police say no charges are anticipated to the driver of the car.
