Habitat for Humanity of Southeast Ohio Hosts 4th Annual Project Playhouse Event

ZANESVILLE, OH – Habitat for Humanity of Southeast Ohio along with 11 other community sponsors got busy building Playhouses today.
Habitat for Humanity hosted their annual Project Playhouse event today at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds.
Missy Best, the Director of Community Engagement with Habitat, says over 100 volunteers were out making children’s dreams a reality.
“They are matched up with a family in the community that’s in need that has small children. Those children tell us what their likes are, it might be dinosaurs, it might be Monsters Inc..” Best said. “When you see the rest of these playhouses, you’ll see there’s quite a bit of variety. The playhouses are then painted, decorated, and built by the sponsors.”
Bobbi Lepi, the Broker and Owner of Lepi & Associates, says they’ve been helping with Project Playhouse for the last four years.
She says it’s always a fun time for their staff to come together for a bigger purpose.
“Our people have a great time doing it, it’s amazing to see all these community members out here helping also.” Lepi said. “Missy is just wonderful to work with and we so believe in her mission and everything she does with Habitat, so it’s self satisfying to us to some extent, but it’s a great community project.”
Best says around 20 area kids will soon have their dream playhouses completed.
