MUSKINGUM COUNTY, Ohio- Habitat for Humanity of Southeast Ohio displayed its Stud-A-Thon project today at its newest, under construction house on Mead Street.

Local businesses and individuals sponsored a stud in which they decorated and bedazzled. The studs were attached to the inside of the current home being built. Sponsors came out to see their studs and the process of the house.

“I’m always humbled by the support that we get for Habitat for Humanity in Muskingum County. Today is just evidence of the love and support that our mission is receiving and we’re so grateful for that,” Habitat for Humanity of Southeast Ohio Community Engagement Director Missy Best said.

70 studs were sponsored for the fundraiser and $15,000 was raised. Continuing Healthcare at Adams Lane was the premier sponsor for the event.

“The studs that we created were heartfelt, they were meaningful. It was about coming together as teams and collaborating to produce this amazing stud that’s going to be a part of some families’ entire life story,” Continuing Healthcare Business Development Director Beth Septer said.

This is the fifth house on Mead Street that Habitat for Humanity has built.
