Hale Jr. Sentenced In Accident
A Zanesville man is sentenced to prison after he caused an accident that seriously injured an area woman. The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office says 41-year-old Michael Hale Jr. went before Common Pleas Judge Kelly Cottrill and received a 12-and-a-half year sentence on multiple charges including aggravated vehicular assault, theft and operating a vehicle under the influence. Zanesville Police say last year Hale was being pursued in a stolen truck on Dresden Road, ran a red light and slammed into a car driven by 27-year-old Tiffaney Branson of Zanesville. Both drivers were seriously injured. Judge Cottrill also fined Hale just over 13-hundred dollars and suspended his drivers license for 10 years.
