Hall’s No-Hitter Leads Sheridan Past River Valley
THORNVILLE, OH – Another game, and another dominant performance on the mound from Sheridan junior pitcher Cora Hall. This time though, she did it on the bigger stage when the number one-seeded Lady Generals hosted River Valley in a Division II district quarterfinal matchup.
Hall led Sheridan to a 10-0 victory in five innings with an eleven-strikeout no-hitter, as the Ohio University commit absolutely stifled the batters from River Valley. Oh, and by the way, Hall had a pretty good game at the plate as well, going two for three with a double and two runs batted in to help lead the Lady Generals onto the district semifinals, where they will host the number-eight seed Athens on Tuesday.
For those curious, Sheridan is on a 19-game winning streak, dating all the way back to April 13th. So good luck stopping them, as the Lady Generals loudly sent a message to the rest of the Division II field.
