Hampton Murder Case Update
A Zanesville woman is being held in the Muskingum County Jail Friday in connection with a recent fatal shooting incident. Zanesville Police Detective Sergeant Ric Roush says 22-year-old Jasmine Lakich was indicted this week on one count each of obstructing justice, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia. Roush says she was in the company of 21-year-old Joey Hampton who is charged in the shooting death of 21-year-old Dante Wolford at the Dairy Mart on Pine Street in early September. Detective Roush says five days on after the shooting Lakich was with Hampton in Boone County, Indiana. Roush says after she returned to Zanesville officers arrested her at her place of employment. Roush says after a search of her car investigators found a concealed knife and a set of digital scales and she also is accused of giving a false statement as to her whereabouts with Hampton. She is being held in the Muskingum County Jail. Hampton, meanwhile remains at large.
