Hampton Pleads Not Guilty To Multiple Charges

A Zanesville man charged with assaulting an area woman enters a plea to the multiple charges he is facing.  The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office says that 28-year-old Rodriguez Hampton pled not guilty in Common Pleas Court to kidnapping, aggravated burglary and domestic violence charges.  Zanesville Police Detective Sergeant Ric Roush says on March 11th around 4:30 in the morning officers were called to a home in the 700 block of Homewood Avenue and they heard screams from a female inside.  Officers say they found the victim had been assaulted to the face.  Roush says Hampton fled on foot.  The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office says Hampton was located at a later time and arrested.  Judge Mark Fleegle Wednesday continued Hampton’s bond at $200,000.
