Hartmeyer Funeral Arrangements Set

A longtime employee of the Whiz Media Group has died. Former Whiz Chief Engineer Elmer Hartmeyer passed away on Saturday October 8th at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. Hartmeyer was the Chief Engineer at Whiz Radio/TV for 56 years. He was also a member of the Falls Township Fire Department and served as Chief for 24 years. He also was active in the West Muskingum Lions Club, Ducks Unlimited, Falls Township Zoning Board and many civic affairs. Hartmeyer was also a pilot, fisherman, avid bowler. He also was a member of the “Ford’s B.P." Coffee Club. Calling hours are Monday October 10th from 5:00 to 8:00 pm and Tuesday October 11th from 2:00 until 4:00 pm and 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home at 1271 Blue Avenue. The funeral service will also be held at the funeral home on Wednesday October 11th at 1:00 pm. Hartmeyer will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery. Hartmeyer was 83-years-old.
