Heath Headed Back to Regional Final with 7-4 Win
FAIRBORN, OH
This one out at Wright State, and in the top of the second inning, Heath ties the game. Heads up base running from Connor Toomey to come in and score on the wild pitch, tying the game at one. A good performance on the mound for Bulldogs pitcher Will Binckley, going six innings and striking out a pair in the ballgame. Third inning now, Bulldogs take the lead Riley Baum goes the other way and off the throw in, it’s going to score Hayden Woodward, who was all fired up on the play. The Bulldogs now just going inning by inning. Top of the fourth, Pal Gould lays one down right in front of the plate.
He’s going to be out at first, but that scores Binckley, making it 3 to 1, Heath. We saw some heads up base running earlier from the Bulldogs. How about a little more? This pickle between first and second allows Toomey to come in and score yet again! 4-1 in the fourth. Another bunt from Binckley this time, the run you see at the bottom of the screen is going to come in and score.
But wait that’s not all! Baum dives on in to add to the lead and Heath wins it 7-4, heading back to Dayton for the regional final against Fairfield Cincinnati Christian.
