Help for Health Care Costs
During these hard economic times, families have to cut spending. Sometimes those cuts affect necessary items like medication.
That’s why the United Way is partnering up with the non profit Familywize to help you pay for prescription drugs.
“Even if you have insurance, there may not be some medications that are covered by your insurance,” said Amy Davis of the United Way. “You can use this instead. You can’t use it on top of insurance, they won’t both work at the same time.”
Davis says the cards are good for five years and will work at every pharmacy in Zanesville.
“There is no registration on them, no income limits, no age limits or health screenings. There are no limits on how many times you can use them,” she said. “You can use them as often as you like, give them to friends and family, and use them that way.”
Davis says the cards are free and available for pick up at the united way. She says to stop by Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
