Help to those Facing Foreclosure
Families facing home foreclosure can get free assistance and funding through the nonprofit organization, "Empowering and Strengthening Ohio’s People."
E-SOP will hold an information session Friday morning. Foreclosure Prevention Advocate Erin Gray said the session will help homeowners facing foreclosure take the necessary steps to receive up to $15,000 dollars in assistance.
"Anyone can apply for this program and I encourage all who are having any sort of difficulty with their mortgage to come onboard, come on down to Opportunity Links tomorrow and join us for our Restoring Stability Session," said Gray.
The federal money comes to Ohio from the Restoring Stability Program- also known as the Hardest Hit Funds Grant- designed to help Ohio homeowners avoid foreclosure.
"We just want to encourage anyone who is having mortgage difficulty to come out and get educated on this process and this program because it is known to save hundreds of homes," emphasized Gray.
The information session will take place Friday from 9AM-12PM at the Licking County Opportunity Links- that’s located at 998 West Main Street in Newark. The session is free and available to any homeowner in the surrounding counties.
If you are unable to come out to the session you can call the E-SOP Office in Muskingum County at 740-617-4228.
