High Gas Prices? Shop Close to Home
High gas prices may have residents of McConnelsville and New Lexington staying closer to home, but it doesn’t mean that they can’t still do some shopping.
A JcPenney Catalog Center opened Tuesday in McConnelsville and will open Wednesday in New Lexington at the cities Shrivers Pharmacy locations. It’s meant to provide a more convenience location for those that want to shop at the store, look through through catalogs, order and pick up deliveries.
"We’re hear to basically help our patients with health but also have the added services so when they come to our pharmacies they have the ability to get their merchandise and take advantages of services that are here locally," John Coler Owner of Shriver’s Pharmacy.
"When you’re 30-40 miles from what everyone goes to to shop that’s just going to make it more or more expensive and more costly for someone here if they have to travel," said Mayor of McConnelsville John Wells.
There are 403 catalog stores nationwide. All three thousand items offered by JcPenney’s are available.
"We offer all the convenience of a JcPenney retail online shopping what we used to call a catalog division," said JcPenny Direct Merchant Field Manager.
For a limited time items shipped to the store will be shipped for free and there is also a chance to win JcPenney gift cards as well at both locations.
