Hill Sworn In As State Representative
Former Muskingum County Commissioner Brian Hill is sworn in at the new State Representative of the 94th District. It happened Thursday at 11:00 am. Hill takes the seat vacated by Troy Balderson who was appointed State Senator. Muskingum County Republican Party Chief Pat Hennessey say the party is required to wait for five days after Hill submits his resignation letter to start the search for his replacement and must choose his successor within 45 days. Hill told Whiz News that he submitted his resignation to Muskingum County Officials Thursday morning before he was sworn in. Hennessey says so far the opening has generated great interest and he expects a decision on the Commissioners seat to be made by the Central Committee by mid-August. The 94th district includes Muskingum and Coshocton Counties.
