Hillis Issues Statement About Charges

Zanesville City Law Director Scott Hillis Wednesday Issues Statement Concerning Charges Against HIm:

I would like to apologize to everyone especially my family, friends, co-workers, clients, the Mayor, members of City Council, City Officials and the citizens of Zanesville. I made a mistake that resulted in misdemeanor charges being filed against me. I am truly sorry for the embarrassment and the hurt that my actions have caused others to suffer. I am solely responsible for my actions. I want to thank my friends and family who have stuck by me and supported me through this terrible ordeal, as well as those people who have kept me and my family in their prayers. I ask for your forgiveness and that you please respect the feelings and privacy of my family. While I cannot undue the mistakes I have made in the past I can vow to you that I will not repeat them in the future.
