Hit and Run Fatal in Coshocton

The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a hit and run accident that took place early Saturday morning.

The Sheriff’s Office said in a press release that at 2:03 a.m. they received a 9-1-1 call of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of South 3rd and Elm Streets.

The caller reported that the vehicle struck the pedestrian and then fled the scene.

The victim 26-year-old Michael McFadden of Coshocton was taken to Coshocton County Memorial Hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.

An autopsy will be performed.

Witnesses at the scene were able to give a description of the two vehicles that may have been involved.

They are described as an older model tan vehicle, possibly an Oldsmobile or Buick and a red Pontiac, possibly a Grand am.
