Home Hit By Car

A Springfield Township home was damaged Wednesday when it was struck by a car.

According to Deputy Ryan Paisley with the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office, the five-speed Mazda was parked when it appears to have slipped out of gear around 8 p.m. The car traveled across a road, through a yard and struck the rear of the home at 1865 Owens Street.

Both the home and the vehicle sustained damage. Deputy Paisley says no one was injured in the accident.
