Home Invasion Leaves Victims Facing Charges

Two masked gunmen forced their way into a Zanesville home shortly after midnight this morning.

According to Det. Sgt. Ric Roush two black males, wearing ski masks, showed hand guns and pushed their way into 732 Dryden Road.

“And demanded cash and drugs from the occupants at that time. Two of the individual residents received minor injuries from being struck by the suspects,” says Roush.

Another person in the home was uninjured. All three victims were able to flee. The suspects ransacked the house and fled on foot before police arrived.

Police were able to locate the victims and during the course of the investigation made another discovery.

“At the time of the investigation some drugs and drug paraphernalia were found in the home. We definitely believe it was in possession of the victims, so there are criminal charges pending at this time on the victim,” he says.

The ZPD is still searching for the two robbers. If you have any information you’re asked to contact the Zanesville police at 455-0700 or call their Tips Hotline at 455-0712.
